From Coach Carignan's Desk...

The Physical Education curriculum contains a variety of activities that work together to
help mold our students into confident, hard working, and well-informed team players.
The curriculum encompasses a variety of individual/dual sports, team sports,
cooperative learning activities, fitness testing, musculoskeletal system lessons, dance,
and more.  Our goal is to end the school year with students who are educated both
physically and mentally and who enjoy being active.

To supplement the Physical Education curriculum, Lourdes Academy is fortunate to
participate in a variety of sports outside of the Physical Education realm do to our
involvement in the Oceanside Athletic Association.  Our current Athletic Director is also
the President of this league, and he strives to provide athletic opportunities for our
students to showcase their talent and promote healthy competition in their lives.  The
Oceanside Athletic Association is able to provide athletic opportunities in Girls
Volleyball and Boys & Girls Basketball, Flag Football, Track, Soccer and Tennis.

With the many athletic programs we offer here at Lourdes Academy demands a great
need for coaches and assistant coaches.  There is a requirement that all coaches have
their
FBI fingerprints submitted and cleared.  Once this process is completed, it is
good for five years.  If you are interested in coaching, please contact Lourdes Academy
school office at 386-252-0391 and they can assist you in this matter.  Please make
sure to tell the office staff that the fingerprints are for coaching.

If you have any question or concerns please feel free to contact the school office to set
up an appointment.  We strongly encourage parent involvement in their child/children's
health and physical well being.
